With the Mega Shine TCG Pocket expansion, an exciting new Lightning deck is added to the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. Star of the deck is Mega Manectric ex, supported by Darkrai and Igglybuff.

Ideally, a player using this deck opens with Igglybuff’s Sleepy Lullaby while simultaneously setting up Mega Manectric ex on the Bench. In line with Sleepy Lullaby, Darkrai’s Nightmare can then be used from the Bench, dealing 20 damage per turn.
It is advisable to set up both Mega Manectric ex. The card has no Retreat Cost, which makes switching very easy.
The main attack, Lightning Accelerator, has a base damage of 80 plus 30 for each point, for a maximum of 140.
Among the key support cards is the Trainer Calem (draw one card for each ex card in play), which shines in particular when you have two Mega Manectric ex on the field.
With Sabrina (make your opponent’s switch his active Pokémon), you can, while Igglybuff is active, drag in one of your opponent’s stronger Pokémon and put it to sleep.
With Mega Manectric ex, Pokémon Pocket players gain a powerful and easy‑to‑execute strategy.
However, the rather specific sequence of Active Pokémon and the reliance on a single attacker make it not overly flexible.
Alternative deck builds combine Mega Manectric ex with Zeraora or Magnezone.
